Depending on what the weather has been like recently, it can be a little slippery. There are seasonal waterfalls along the way that typically go under the walking path, but after lots of rain, may go over as well. There are steps where the path is steepest, but it is still a bit of a workout navigating the rises and declines. I wouldn't recommend if you have bad knees or weak ankles unless you are comfortable taking it slow going down and back up. That being said, the view is pretty impressive year round, even when the falls are at a trickle.
It is not that far... about 1/4 mile or so. Steep, though. Going down is obviously pretty easy. I hike a lot, so if you're in shape, not bad. If you are out of shape, it's still doable, with a stop or two along the way. If you have any knee or back issues, this trek will let you know how bad they are.
I was amazed at how short it was. It's steep but nicely paved the whole way and honestly not as steep as a lot of other falls in the area.
It's a good walk but there is spots to where it's uphill. But it's so worth it when you finally see the falls, enjoy them there beautiful. .
