The water itself is clean. However, there is a quiet a bit of broken glass on the bottom. I always pull out at least ten pieces and take them home to throw them away, since the garbage cans are always overflowing. Honestly I would wear water shoes.
The beach is open to the public so of course most people don't take care of it. Trash everywhere. I wonder if they leave trash like that in their own yards.
