First time ever going to this park. I must say I was in awe! It is well put together and pretty clean. Great place for children and adults alike. Signs are everywhere that they need to be and all that I saw had clear paint and in good shape. Nice little pond/lake and walking area.

Me and my kids love this park! Had my daughter's birthday here and the only thing she was disappointed about was that she couldn't go swimming with the ducks. We come here often and they play. I go by myself too to walk around the pound. It's Beautiful place to get some exercise

Hidden gem in Spartanburg. Lots of walking trails, several covered picnic areas available for rental, a super nice playground area, and seating and swings around the pond make for an excellent day out or picnic. :) Also, lots of wildlife… geese, ducks, and turtles to watch while you enjoy sitting by the water. Awesome Comps
Great big spacious park with plenty of room and also ducks and geese to feed. If you want your kids to get out and interact with many different kids then this is definitely the park for you.

We allow pets (on leashes) but they are not allowed within the fenced playground area. :)
The city of Spartanburg does not allow for fishing at any body of water within the city limits. There is an educational exemption for children under the age of 16. That said, the pond has not been stocked for several years and there are very few fish left. We suggest trying Lake Cooley or Croft State Park for a more enjoyable fishing experience.
You go online to www.Spartanburgparks.org and you can rent, the place and see what days times are available, everything you need should be on the website
No. We do not allow swimming or wading in the pond.
Thanks for thinking of us for your event. You can find information about rental rates at www.clevelandpark.info
Thanks for the answers I was hoping to show my kids. I may still stop in on my birth town. I'm 38 and haven't been there since I was in the 2nd grade.
No they do not however there is another park up the street that does.
You can reserve the event center by calling the office: 864-562-4150.
Yes. The playground is currently open (opens at 7am when the parking lot entrances are opened) and closes at 8:30pm daily. The only time the playground may be closed during the day aside from scheduled maintenance would be inclement weather with lightning/high wind or conditions which would cause a safety risk.
Yes, it's open but not the play grounds are not open
Does it cost to throw a cookout for someone bday
Yes plus a couple of shelters
I am sorry to hear that happened to you while at the park. I will pass this report along to the patrol division of the Spartanburg Police.
If you look on the spartanburg parks and recreation website is states the prices for all the buildings and picnic areas.
Not anymore but up the hill from it theres a park on the corner has 4
Call Spartanburg County Parks and Rec
I thought that was likely. Thank you both
There are "No fishing" signs posted, but I still see people fishing so I guess it just depends on if you're a rule breaker or not.
A very nice gazebo in the middle of the lake ... also the main hall and outside venue
You can also reserve the shelters for parties. There is a fee.
You can't use sheds for free
