I just ran into a similar issue...having the receipt is best cause you can get your money back but even without a receipt they can look up the PLU number on the tv to verify you bought it. They do that cause ppl buy stuff from other non walmart stores and try to scam stores out of money. You wont get your money back but you can get store credit or exchange BUT it also means without a receipt they'll give you credit at their lowest ever advertised price on the product which can be A LOT less than what you paid.
That depends on the warranty. If it's a manufacturers warranty, you'll have to contact the manufacturer. If you purchased an extended service plan through Walmart, however, they might take care of all the repairs. This depends, of course, on whether or not accidental coverage was included in the service plan.
