We saw a bear at our cabin in August 2018.
We visit Rangeley regularly. I have never seen a bear near the area. I have seen a moose but no bears. Rangley is a great resory and I would recommend it to anyone. Hope this helps!
Bears live all over Maine. Will you encounter one in Rangeley? Probably not. They are usually shy except when seeking food. Don't tempt them...
