As of July 26th... how are the forest roads? Is it 4x4 only or van I get an AWD car to the trailhead?

Any car can make it, big potholes for last 3 miles

We went up about a month ago with no problems, even saw a Tesla parked at the trailhead.

I made it just fine in a Honda crv.

We took a Toyota Corolla and a Nissan Altima... lots of pot holes but definitely doable.
