Question for the park staff, not Google Maps customers
A special use permit is required for operation of a drone on or over any land or water administered by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Parks and Recreation. For information or to obtain a permit, contact the superintendent of the park where you want to fly (Delaware Seshore office for Fenwick Island) , then submit the following to the park superintendent at least 10 days before your planned flight: Your completed application Licensure Insurance FAA documentation Flight plan There is a $75 administrative fee for the permit. If it is determined that supervision by park staff is required for your flight, an additional supervision fee of $35 per hour is charged.
PLEASE pick up your trash at the beaches....
We have not seen anybody flying a drone at the beach. But be aware that a lot of kite flying happens during this time.
My son has, about two months ago, febuary, or early march... No problems...
My son did during the off season and none of the staff there said that it was prohibited.
Yes, you can. I have done so in the off season. However, due to frequent windy conditions, make sure you pick you time and day accordingly!!!
State park rules/laws apply. Can you fly a drone in a state park?
Yes
Not so busy there now.. perhaps a good time to try. I see a post several times a week, by someone with a drone on all t by e different beaches
