You should always take precautions with small children around any water. Millerton Lake is no more dangerous than any other body of water and less dangerous than swimming in the river. There are swimming areas with lifeguards on duty on the weekends. But there is no substitute for a proper flotation device and close supervision.
Yes with adult supervision and a life jacket and stay in the swim areas
Yes I took my grandson 4 yrs old and two other 3 &4 ...all had fun..
It is safe to get in the water and with small children it is always best to have flotation device as well as supervision!!!
