If you have a small child and want a campsite on the water go for Modesto reservoir or Woodward. No camping right on the lake at Turlock.

Yes there are campsites on the water. Safe for children under supervision. Turlock lake is much quieter and safer then alot of the other lakes. Campsites 1 mile past day use area
