No you're trapped in until 6 am. They have armed guards and barbed wire set up. Once it hits 9pm you're either out or in for the night. If you try to approach the guards to explain that you've paid for a campsite they will start pointing their guns and yelling at you.

They check around I'd imagine to see if people are still there before they leave.
They used to let you fish after dark when the fish are running. You still had to park outside the park and walk out though. During the summer they would patrol the park at closing time and make sure everyone was out before locking the gates.
Yes they have a small drive tht goes out to the side I believe.
Yes, gates are open! Gates are closed at the end of the season.
