If you rent, you can go back and forth between skis and snowboards. That is useful if you go with someone who skis, but wants to "try" snowboarding. Or the other way around. As far as I have seen bringing you own equipment is welcomed.

Can you rent snow boots just for tubing? We won't be skiing or snowboarding but my son doesn't have snow boots and doesn't need them back home, so if renting is an option I'd rather do that then spend $40 on snow boots for one day. Thanks!
