I again called because my dog was sick and was told they only had one vet on staff and she was booked for the day. This is not good service. If a vet isn't there when you need them then what is the point? I have talked to other people who have said that Dr. Hubbard has always gotten their pet in (in some cases after hours) so maybe this is a case of who you know because there has been absolutely no attempt to fit my dogs in. I used to think these vets cared about their patients but continuously referring patients to the emergency clinic just doesn't sound like they caring at all. Very disappointing this keeps happening. And the girl that took my call at the front desk never apologized or anything. She just said "do you need me to give you the number to an emergency clinic". Unfortunately, after today, I have to change my review to a one star. I called after my dog has been sick for 5 days to try to get her in. I was told they were all booked up until Monday (I called on Thursday) and I could take her to the emergency clinic. If my vet isn't available for when my dog is sick then that is not someone I can count on. I can take my dog anywhere for routine things like vaccinations, etc., but I need to know if my dog is ill, my vet is going to do what it takes to see her. This just isn't acceptable. I shouldn't have to take my dog 45 minutes away to an emergency clinic during regular office hours and pay exorbitant prices when my dog's vet is right down the street! If my child was sick, their pediatrician would fit them in and not expect me to go to the ER. I don't understand this at all. We decided to take our elderly dog here after our regular vet wasn't able to help (not saying our current vet isn't a respectable and thorough vet, just wanted a second opinion) and we were wowed from the get go. What an incredibly caring staff!!! We liked the vet, the techs and the office staff right off the bat. This vet office is top notch!!!! And their prices are VERY reasonable. Will definitely recommend!!!

I really like the vet but it can be frustrating trying to get an appt. Just recently called and the front desk was not caring at all. She said they couldn’t get my dog in for almost a week even though she was sick. She recommended I take her somewhere else to be seen sooner.

Dr. Hubbard took a lot of time with my 5 new puppies examined them very thoroughly and answered all my questions and some questions I didn't even know I had. He stayed late after closing to make sure they were taken care of. You can tell he truly enjoys his profession and takes a lot of pride in doing things right.Thank you for your kind words!

Now why would they charge more if you are in the room? Are they doing something they shouldn't if your not in the room?

I believe this is in reference to the difference in costs for euthanasia. There is an extra charge for owners being present only because we have a set time with the doctor and room reserved for the owners. We want everything to be as comfortable and timely as possible for anyone in that situation. It has nothing to do with the process itself, that is always handled in the same manner with the same compassion and care. They make farm/ house calls, not sure if they specialize in birds though. Mainly farm calls are for livestock.

Do they take walk ins? I have two conure parrots that just need a nail trimming.

I believe the office call is $35 each, but they may give you a slight discount for bringing them all at once.

Bright Vet is the best they also have a location in Dearborn by Hollywood Casino. My dog will be 12 in October & I wont take him anywhere but there! They actually care about your animals!!!🐕💙💙💙
