I only go there for fresh tortillas and salsa. Good prepared rice and beans too. Other than that, they have a horrible selection for other things. It's very latino-centric. They would be smart to cater to other people as well
No actually they have great customer service, the staff is very friendly and nice.
Yes- its true. Only about the check out lines. If there are less than5 carts in line-- they start closing lines. I have personally walked out MANY times--leaving full carts in the aisles. It seems ok to most hispanic families to wait 45 min to pay for items that took 10 min to select. If they want black and white customers-if there are 3 or more in line--open another line.
I have shopped at Cardenas' several times in the past. This time I had to go in just to ask for change for a $20 bill because the bank next door had just closed. After waiting politely in line, the cashier told me that "she would do it this time, but next time I would have to buy something first". Is this Cardenas' official policy? Because if so, I'm never going back.

Yes it's true even the manager there gives really bad customer service. They don't care about the customer.

Bad customer service. Like someone mentioned earlier they do not bag your groceries when you bring your own. But if you need what they got what are you going to do.
its all paisas there, only like 10 people speak english there... i rather deal with the fake ass nazi at stater brothers.
