Inmates can only receive books from publishers, not retailers. Use Amazon. Some important things to remember when sending books, magazines or newspapers to an inmate: Do not send more then 3 books at a time. All books must be new and soft cover (no hardcover or spiral bound)Always ship USPS.Use the inmate's name and ID number with the facility mailing address.

Yes, they can definitely send books to inmates. Everything else Christne said is true no more than 3 books, all new and paperback copies. And you need to have all the information for whomever you're sending the books to. They will do an online order form and print out a slip for you to take to the cashier and pay. The order is then fulfilled by the B&N warehouses not the actual store. They always use UPS to ship.

It seems like Christine is well aware of the process. I would listen to her on this one.
