when it comes to the phone...mattering on the time you call there may only be one person and if they are actively helping customers in front of them they wont be able to answer the phone....for example one person in electronics is helping someone with games or a phone set up and purchase or pulling a tv off the shelf....same for other departments the biggest reason for lack of answering is just that having to help multiple customers on their own. lack of hours given to workers so most of the time its one worker all day for one dept. through the store.
Their customer service is already shoddy, bit with it being so close to the holidays, it's gotten even worse.
They have poor customer service
Call the pharmacy and they will transfer the call quicker than that old woman who is answering the phone I am just saying not to offend anyone but it's the truth
I have experienced this too. I don't know why. Please answer Walmart managers.
I worked there and I never heard that about not talking about anything work related. We were even scolded for not helping people. If you take your vest off then you can go about your business but as long as you're in "uniform" you represent Wal-Mart. When I went on break I would remove my vest because we only had a certain amount of time and it didn't matter what you were doing. You got to break and get back asap... As far as answering phones, They do not employ enough people to do everything that needs to be done at each counter. They are making a killing but they don't want to hire enough people it seems. Imagine how smooth it would run (with the right people) and how much more money they'd make if they would hire more. Which people also just don't want to work so there ya go
Okay I'm going to answer this question cuz I do work for Walmart in this location. Personnel will not answer your phone calls when they are in the middle of orientation which basically means we're getting new people in; this tends to happen in the beginning of the week. Most of the time on the weekends Sundays would be the worst time to try to call personnel, since that is there day off, any other day you should be fine
I don't think they do they don't never answer the phone for me. From Mary Lewis tomboy outlaw harmonica player
I have a relative who used to work there & they said thst IF & when they go on break wether a 15 minute break or lunch that they are NOT supposed to even talk about work on breaks &/or to also try not to do anything related to work bc they will have to pay them even if it only takes 20 seconds to answer yes/no & then they have to restart the break no matter if they had only 1 minute left or 30+ minutes. It's kinda dumb to me since it's a fortune 500 business and can afford to pay employees.
