Entry level pay starts at $11 per hour. In the past the first 3 months was a probationary period. If you're hired as a permanent part-time or full-time employee there are medical benefits, vacation and sick-day benefits. Walmart also has a continuing education program. They will pay a portion of your college education if you enlist in one of their online colleges. (Starting 2018, Walmart now pays for college education in full. I believe there is just a small registration fee.) They normally promote from within their departments. All companies have their pros and cons. Advancement takes a lot of hard work. It's one of those personal decisions that only you can make. If you have a relative or friend knowledgeable in career opportunities it would be good to talk with them. Good luck.
