We did a day trip from Atlanta but book ahead if you are staying we found out the hard way...we were tired and wanted to stay but EVERYTHING was booked. Have fun!
Best way to search is by using google maps.
Near by hotels? We stayed at the Read Inn very nice and a lot of history. But you are close to just about everything.
On map search nearby hotels it will show you all nearby hotels
