Has anyone hiked here in early to mid December? If so how were the trails and temperature? Thanks.

The trails are maintained in all seasons. As for temperature, the higher the elevation the cooler the temperatures. Whatever the temperature in Greenville expect 10° cooler on the trails. Of course this is a generality. Dress in layers, with a wicking foundational layer.

Hiking in cooler temps is great, exertion without getting so sweaty. And it brings color to your cheeks! And your face. Lol. You can see of the views more after autumn, too, because the leaves are out of the way. It's a different but very beautiful type of hike. The trails are typically in great shape.
