Did the Table Rock Trail as a first time hiker, and man it was hard (but doable! My friend and I both made it all the way to the top and down). We are both a little out of shape, but if you really want to reach the top you will. The first 2 miles are very difficult- lots of stairs and rocks to climb, and it’s very steep. There are several difficult parts during the last 1.5 miles, but it is generally pretty flat and easier. The view is insane and incredibly worth it- you will know it when you see it. The descent was SO much easier. It only took us 2 hours compared to the 4 it took us to reach the summit. If you are hiking the trail and are not an experienced hiker, bring TONS of water and snacks- especially in hot weather. I would not recommend taking your dog unless they are very fit and used to this sort of strenuous activity. The entire state park is so well maintained and beautiful. Also- I would highly recommend hitting Dacusville Pizza on your way out if you’re going that way.

Paid for visiting the park $19. Nice place to get to waterfalls, cool down, hike and beach access for little ones, who love splashing in water. Clean bathrooms, would like more people around as the park was almost empty. Parking lot is well maintained. A lot of space.

One of the most aggressive hikes in SC, which isn't saying a whole lot. However, it is more of an ascent than a hike. The cool breezes at the top make it worth it, and the birds and flora are outstanding, depending on the time of year. The primitive camp sites are wonderfully secluded, but car camping it ain't. Nice to have the camp store nearby for forgotten supplies.

Great time at this park. We rented a cozy cabin which fit all of our needs (family of 5). Loved the board games. Hiked TR trail to Summit which is about 3.5 miles of pretty strenuous hiking. Ate lunch at the top. Awesome trail just be …

If you go to the sc state parks website it tells you most i ever spent was 156 a night
Yes. There are gifts at the welcome center across highway 11 from Table Rock. It isn't extensive, but there are shirts, stickers, a few snacks (like ice cream), and a penny crusher. It also has an awesome porch with rockers!
Agreed. If you like the area you can live around the park. Theres lands and homes for sale all over highway 11
Check with park. Not always available.
You should remove all trash if you do metal detect. I love this place
Great trails and views. Cabin rental is expensive in my estimate. Small cabin runs around $180 for 8 per night. September 2018. Hard to get cabins for weekend in the fall. Not a lot of choice to drive to for supper. Take your food with you.
Most of them are about the same, although the campsites are relatively spaced apart so you get more privacy than you would if you went to say Croft State Park. Last time I was there I had number 46 and was relatively private except for the RV directly to the left
Yes it will as far as I know
There are at least 2 "simple" trails. Most of them are moderate to strenuous. I hiked around the lake with a 2 month old in a carrier and my kids ages 6, 8, and 10. They got tired about 2/3 of the way.
The trails are maintained in all seasons. As for temperature, the higher the elevation the cooler the temperatures. Whatever the temperature in Greenville expect 10° cooler on the trails. Of course this is a generality. Dress in layers, with a wicking foundational layer.
If you call the park you may be able to for only 1 night...
I live here! Beautiful place and friendly people! Check it out! You won't regret it! Certainly worth the trip!
From their site: $5 adults; $3.25 SC seniors (age 65 & older); $3 children ages 6-15; ages 5 and under, free.
Yes you can
Not close by. You would need to go into the town of Pickens for restaurants.
When we were there the pedal boats were rented week days and on weekend days.
Table Rock has two lakes Lake Oolenoy and Pinnacle Lake. You will need a SC freshwater fishing license. Lake Oolenoy is just outside the park and is the bigger of the two at around 67 acres. Pinnacle Lake is around 35 acres. Good fishing in both lakes. Lake Oolenoy also has two nice size docks and fishing off the banks is easy. If trout fishing is more your style there are plenty of river and creeks nearby for that. Happy fishing !!
How much is the amount of the cost to get rental
I'd say they are, should be getting close to their peak. It is definitely a good time to be there. Have fun and be safe. GOD has given us so beautiful places..
Best beach is Folly anywhere northwest sc is beautiful lots of trails
You can visit the link below (scroll to bottom) and read a detailed description of each trail. https://southcarolinaparks.com/table-rock/trails
You can, yes some tight turns, but if you're careful, you shouldn't have trouble.
No. It opens at 7am.
Yes. Also nearby Jones Gap State Park. Jones Gap only allows artificial bait.
Yes Rangers are there until 5 pm. We hiked yesterday and parking situation was a little tricky. But Rangers made it work. Just be patient.
If you go before 8 am its for free ...later you must pay at the ranger....please take enough water whit you
You pay park admission fee, then can hike, swim, picnic, etc.
They have like a little beach it's WONDERFUL and really great for children they have it rope off for them so that way the adults can swim in the big part
Yes, but I don't remember the rate. We rented a pedal boat. Rates were reasonable.
As long as there are campsites avaliable
We are arriving on Christmas Day. I am calling the Park but there is no answer. We did not get a code to get in. Hoping gates are opened. Any suggestions?
Not much, BUT if you want to see any color at all sooner will be better than later. With all the rain and wind many leaves are not getting a chance to turn then fall. They are falling green.
Yes
Not sure if they do or not just called the state park and find out
There is a diving board at the swimming beach. About 12 ft high on a platform that you swim out to.
A couple weeks ago on their website it said one of their short trails was closed. But I think that is all affected.
There is a ramp for the lower lake to the south of Hwy 11. Electric motors only.
Each cabin is a different size and different price. 2 cabins (15-16) are away from all the amenities if you are looking for privacy. Cabin 16 is a large spacious 1 bedroom handicap accessible stay. We have booked at the last minute different times of the year. Wonderful park to relax and get away from everything.
There is nothing along the trail to dispose of anything. All trash cans are located at the trail head area.
