Does the trail ascend and gets you to a descent altitude or is it just a loop of 9 miles for families and kids? Im looking for a real hiking trip

Not sure about Silver Falls, but my guess is no. Try Kings Mountain on US 6. 2.4 mile trail up to 2500ft.

Its just loops and it aint hard...no bikes,there are bike trails around though...

It's not a "real hike" me and my 9 year old did it in just under three hours and that was spending 5 to 10 minutes at each waterfall. It's definitely beautiful though.

There are ups and downs, but it's an easy hike. Beautiful scenery, though. Maybe for a rest day?
