It ends at a 4x4 off-road trails. There's a little camp community with Facilities and lots of fishing. There's a store with bait, propane and food. There's also a fish hatchery. Very rustic, the real kind, not the fabricated. This place is locked into the 60s or 70s.

Campgrounds, the trout hatchery, a small rustic community & ultimately in to Murphy, North Carolina or Robbinsville, North Carolina, via a connection to the Cherohala Skyway, depending which way you go from the trout hatchery. Some roads would be best traveled in a 4 x 4, especially in the winter.

Check out Google maps as there are a few splits and alternative paths especially if you have 4x4 and a little ground clearance. Lots of campgrounds, the North river, green cove, and lots of other cool stuff. Eventually north river road brings you back to the skyway in NC.
