Such a beautiful park, campground and lake. Always peaceful and cool on hot days. The beach and shallow lake are perfect for families and young children. Nice, clean, modern bathrooms. A good size pavilion. A lovely drive to get there.

This camp ground and lake have never failed to impress us. We stayed at campsite A20. Our first time in the A Loop. We were close enough to the lake to carry our kayaks to the water. The camp host was very friendly and frequently checking on campers and the facilities.

Yes we have a 29ft and still have plenty of room but some of the sites are smaller #69 is one of the smaller ones. and when making reservations it ask what size camper put 26ft.

You can but its illegal to use it on the national forest land that's posted. And dont drive it on walking trails. There are posted areas for offroad vehicles.

It is $3 to park by the lake. It has a nice pavilion with picnic tables and very nice restrooms. There is also a trail to get on that goes around the whole lake👍
Chris is right. You can also drive up there if you want and pay the $20 in cash at the gate. You run the risk of driving up and them being full, but if you are wanting a site that night, you can't reserve online. Online reservations can only be made three days out.
Also, if you reserve online ahead of time instead of driving up the day of, then you must pay a $10 non-refundable fee.
