A.L. - This is a free public access shooting range. While there is no range master, there is shooting etiquette to be followed. Everyone needs to wait for the shooting to stop at all of the positions before advancing onto the range. Typically someone will raise their arm and yell, "Clear," and keep their arm in the air. Each shooting position will then yell clear and keep their arms in the air. Everyone most wait until all shooters have done this before walking onto the range.
The range is "cleaned" of debris every 3rd Thursday of the month. It is closed down most of the day for that purpose. It is run by the Butte County Sheriff's Dept. (The cleaning is done by staff personnel and jail inmates.)
100% free! You dont even have to pickup whatever you shoot. The land gets cleaned once a week of all the debris
