A regular street bike is fine on Airline Trail, most of which is compacted stone dust. Some areas are sandy, but as long as you are not cruising at top speed you should be fine. If you want to get new tires get the hybrid size.
If it's a true road bike, it may not be the best. Probably hybrid tires are better.
Yes my bike has road tires and is fine the trail is hard pack some soft sandy areas are at street crossings.
