Yes your best option if you're going more than once a year is a season pass
Their website quotes different prices depending on your age, individual or groups, and a choice of an additional visit to the park the next day. There are places that offer coupons for Carowinds as well. (Not sure about the $74 per person).
I dont think holidays cost different then from any other day.
