2 years and younger are free. However Carowinds does a pre-K pass, which is a season pass for free for kids 3-5. You have to bring birth certificate and apply at certain times of the year.
Kids up to 2 years of age get in for free. Any kids older than 2 years of age you will have to buy admission tickets for.
