Its usually closed in the winter. When I'm there in the summer I have seen lots of dry camping on Owen's River road off 395.
I live in Bridgeport. Totally understand winter camping. Just checking on this campgrounds to stop and fish for a day or two.
This is not the season to be camping in the Upper Owen's River Valley, unless you are an experienced winter camper, prepared for ice, snow, wind and extreme cold temperatures. Try Mammoth Lakes RV Park and be prepared for the same conditions mentioned above.
