If you navigate to the nca site and then Ohio Western you can see all the guidelines as to what is authorized, when it's authorized and what is not authorized on government provided sites in a national cemetery. Unfortunately the markers while provided for the Veteran or eligible family member are still considered government property so adding stickers, lipstick and various other things sometimes can require a reorder at family expense. The staff works hard as well as volunteers to keep the markers as clean as possible. If you have questions please stop by the admin office and pickup a brochure that covers authorized and prohibited items.
