We drove thru the park tonight and saw some birds that identified on my computer as black vultures am I wrong or do they fly thru around bird week?

I see them a lot closer to where I grew up in the fields of Henry and Fulton Counties. Usually picking at roadkill on the road or whatever. It's completely possible that this flock might have just been getting lucky heading East and were just here.

I've lived here all my life and haven't seen them until this year,I'm not sure why they are here
