Most states prohibit children under 12 being unsupervised. Theatres may have their own rules so you can call them to ask. Personally, being in public in a dark theatre, it may not be safe. I would recommend older like 15 or 16 so you are old enough to protect yourself.
I went to the movies with friends starting at 13 also.
not sure but i would assume it depends on the movie
I am not 100% sure since the theater has changed hands, but I used to go see movies with my friend there when I was 13. As long as it wasn't an R movie and we weren't disruptive nobody cared.
