They close one day a week many smaller businesses do. While not common in restaurants it still happens. I can't comment on main reason but just an observation.
Tuesday is the Lord's day.
Long story short, when we first opened in 2012 we were working 90+ hours a week, open to close (we closed at 4am back then). We needed a day of rest and Tuesday is statistically one of the slowest days in the service industry. The busier we got, we decided to keep it as it was a guaranteed day off for all of our staff members. Employment plug: if you work for TDB you have a guaranteed day off, which is semi-rare in the service industry! Also, Tuesdays are for tacos and we love us some tacos!
