Hi Mike that's a very good question I just purchased a new phone. I upgraded from a Samsung note 8 to a Samsung note 9 and with a little encouragement they did it for me. I've been with Verizon since 1997, of course they were not always known as Verizon and I have never charged when changing phones and transferring the information from one phone to another. I am a big fan of cloud storage back up or storing everything on a SIM card so the transfer goes more smoothly.
