The same reason they stopped selling video cassettes. Streaming content is the direction most of the industry moving towards.
Are there tv's with dvd players in them?
Most blu ray discs come with a dvd as well, but you may as well get a blu ray player. Much better picture, I have a 4K disc player and I love it!
