No. Davidson River is not deep enough for canoeing.
It is pretty shallow in the summer. Use a tube and float down it there is a deeper swimming hole. There are deeper rivers that you could drive to to take your kayak on. There also different parts of the river that they release fish in that you could stand and fish from the bank.
