You can check online and see what sizes and types of countertops are in stock at your local IKEA.
It has been my experience. That if you are planning to purchase an item that may not fit in your vehicle. Rent a vehicle it will fit in. When I redid my kitchen I rented a uhaul van. Everything I got fit just fine.
There are different lengths of countertops available. All of which are available to see on the website but the general sizes are: 74 ft by 1 ft or 98 ft by 1 ft (Length by Width). You CAN purchase it and take it with you IF you can fit it in your vehicle. The employees will not and cannot, and DO NOT have to help you put items in your vehicle that are too big and or clearly won't fit. The reason is that if damage occurs to your vehicle then it is solely your fault and not towards Ikea or the employee. So ALWAYS make sure ANY item will fit in your vehicle before purchasing. Ikea is also NOT a home Depot or Menards so they *cannot* cut items to a smaller size for you (that I'm aware of). So if it won't fit and you are fine cutting it down....it doesn't matter they cannot do that.
I'm not sure about this and I would contact IKEA customer service first before going to IKEA store to be on the safe side
