I came here because of the ads I saw for their meat prices- I found this place to have everything that I need ( meat- deli) and the prices were very fair- ( quality counts for something) - my husband and I eat deli sandwiches during the week and to find a deli that actually has kept reasonable prices that we can afford, is amazing! I’m praying they don’t see this review and then raise their prices😁 The meat items seem of high quality. I’m pretty fussy about what I buy and I’ve never had a bad experience with their chicken, steaks, pork chops… unlike some other markets, they trim their chicken breast very nicely so that you aren’t getting a lot of fat and paying for that waste. They also have chicken thighs and they are trimmed very nicely. We noticed that when we prepare the chicken we do not get a lot of moisture cooking off of the meat. They have whole chickens that they will cut up into fryer pieces for you. Again, their prices are very reasonable- The service is also incredible! They are super friendly and very accommodating. I wanted a couple 1 inch ribeyes and the guy behind the counter offered to cut a 2 incher in half, before I even asked- Another huge plus! The guy offered to clip my wings for me into flats and drummies. I wanted a boneless turkey breast and he happily informed me that if I called him 24 hours in advance he would debone it for me- I even heard another person offer to butterfly the chicken breast for a customer and I was so impressed! Also great variety! I actually saw Hog Maws, beef cheek, ox tails… The only thing that gets a little tricky in navigating this place is there doesn’t seem to be any prices on their canned goods or other grocery items. And I always feel so bad and don’t want to constantly ask them for prices… but when you’re on a budget you have to know so you don’t overspend😁 They open early which is nice because I’m an early bird👵🏻😄 I have been going here for the past 7 months and have never had a bad experience-

Eastern market of Canton- Everytime I have been there I am in awe. Each time I leave there, I wonder how they have such excellent people. I am not a regular customer nor spend a lot. I called hoping they were open later n had corned beef. Told appologized that I was probably going to arrive with 3 minutes of closing. I made up and when I get there and ask the corned beef the woman asked me all are you the one that called and I said yes and she said yeah we were going to stay open an extra 5 or 10 minutes hey, if you didn't get here by 7. She had most perfect cut of corned beef picked out for me and they're just amazing thank you guys so much! My Momma bear and I in younger days would go to Eastern Market in Detroit before all the holidays. I would probably not be able to keep our meal family traditions alive since our Momma bear passed. - or would have to settle for Kroger corned beef (which ..why bother, right!?) If it was not for them my family's traditional meals would suck. Beyond that the customer service and people make you want to quit your job and work there.

Bought a 6 pound beef tenderloin for $120 and asked for it to be seasoned and trimmed. They trimmed off 3 pounds which is ridiculous. I went back for an explanation and was told this is typical. It’s not. I’ve been here before but won’t go back.
