Ground beef is related to the beef commodity that's traded on Wall Street... as are poultry, pork, wheat... The in-store prices fluctuate according to the market. However, I find Sam's Club meats to be of excellent quality and meticulous presentation by the butcher staff. (the fridge displays are clean and we'll organized). Keep in mind that the meats are sold in bulk. So, as far as pricing goes, I shop when the price per pound is good. Once home, I portion the meats in sealed freezer bags. Great way to save $$$
