There is indeed and elevator for wheelchair access! Also, they have places to sit both inside and outside. It was limited inside during the covid but that has changed and interior seating is avaikable.

I didn't see any places to sit inside, but for the amount of people that was visiting when my family was there, there was park bench style seating outside the front entrance! Also (* fyi?), inside I didn't see any form of elevators for wheelchair accessibility! & There is a flight of stairs you have to climb (= rufly 15 steps? 🤔), in order to reach the 2nd floor exhibits!
Outside there are places to sit. Inside no. You have to take it at your own pace.

The museum is set up to provide people to stop and take it at there pace. Not many (if any space) to sit within the museum, but plenty of resting areas outside the museum.
Yes, there are places to sit. There is also picnic tables outside under big beautiful trees with lots of shade.
