Can someone from town of Smithfield please make the commons a two way out. I went to target one day n literally was in a line of cars for 45 min till I got to the light. My husband called me to see if I was ok. I could not get out of plaza.

You have the wrong shopping area, the crossing at Smithfield is where you were. Smithfield commons is down the street. The crossings is pretty well land locked with by 295, mountaindale rd, plaza 44 and route 44. The only option would be to put an access road connecting to Apple valley Mall and that was rejected.

Yes, Darlene you have the wrong center like Michael Goyetta said. Most usually the center owners try to get multiple ways of egress but the town doesn't allow it, usually to protect an area neighborhood from too much traffic entering their streets. Next time go at off hrs and check out all of the possible exits and entrances. Some may be busy and others not !!?? Depends on traffic!!

Yeah will call them not sure what it's called. The one with Dave's target kohls etc. If there is ever an emergency God for bid. You cant get out. So many people complain.

Not a clue. I'd say that's something youd have to bring up to the mayor's office or town council and go from there.
