Yes very safe and accessible
Yes there is canoes kayaks and tubes you can use. As long as you can steer the canoe and keep an eye on the random rocks in the middle you will be fine. We have went plenty of times abd have never flipped.. Only time we did was when my sister was with us and thats cause she thought standing up was a good idea. If your pregnant id recommend going on a week day earlier in the day when everyone is at work and its not busy. We did this woth our kids and it was nice and relaxing. Every other time we went it was on a weekend and there was so many people you cant help but to run into some one or even a couple people on the way. I def love going during the week.
Yes, plenty of things to do or just relax. Leaked is well taken care of.
Sure. Don't drink the water. Canoe raft whatever. You can tube and sit in water. I have never seen any oil slicks or chemicals in the water. Some yucky foam in slow moving water areas. But just muddy water run off from streams.
Depending on how far your along. The river is not the most hygienic
