They were made from the sterns and decks of early Finnish battle ships crashing into the coast of their new homeland!
I think Billy is right...the timbers came from Lapland...in pori the ships were built...after a long journey, they hit the conglomerate shores of the keweenaw peninsula.....the main captain was Heikki luunta
