Great meadows has had some cosmetic work this spring so it will be busy all summer..but it consists of 2 campgrounds..the first is across the rd from the water n 9outa 10 times you can find a spot there on Sun or Mon..unless it's a holiday or a hunting season you shouldn't have a hard time finding a spot on either day. Plus there are many individual spots along the way wth a picnic table, fire pit and tent spots..just no restrooms.
It stays pretty busy. Sunday and Monday is your best days but alot of people set up camp (which your not supposed to do) early in the week just to save spots. Good luck
