Is this a good place to take my 3 kids (all under 15) to spend a couple of hours to play in the snow? No skiing experience at all. Just want to play in the snow. Thank you

I would definitely recommend Donner Ski Ranch.. they will provide lessons for the first timers and there is a small slope with snow belt for kids to practice..

There is a very nice state park just on the West side of Truckee California , it's called Donner Lake state park. There is more snow verre then they will know what to do with and you won't have to contend with the traffic trying to get to the ski resorts. If you're not looking for skiing or snowboarding I would go to the park instead.
