There is a service charge to buy them online but they only accept cash in person either way it works and it fun :)
Regardless if you pay at the both or online, you still have to stand in line to get "the real ticket" that you need to go from house to house . The only thing is that they only accept cash in person at the booth; you can only pay by card online.
You can just show up I went on the3rd and they sell tickets until 10 and all stations stay open till the last customer has gone through..
VIP is definitely worth it. You'll have to stand in line at the ticket booth either way.
You can just go but it's probably easier to go online to buy the tickets first. We paid extra for the VIP and it was definitely worth it because the lines were long.
