Crabbing is not so good for those without a boat around here. Shallow slope to beach that goes out about 200+ yards from hi tide line. M Off the dock/pier ONLY to the north! North of ferry is marine sanctuary and way off limits. If you go farther north, some crabbing.
To add more specifics to the other comments, the only place to crab without a boat around here is at the fishing pier at the very north end of the marina.

Its over 100 ft, at 1/4 mile off shore. It is where the oil tankers used to dock for Union oil.
