Small park with mighty views Quiet lookout that feels a world away

Just bought a home up the street so wanted to walk the neighborhood and explore. Haines is a small park amongst lovely homes on the water, with a stunning view of the Olympics, and a prized location to view the sunset across the water. Also, just walking up the block you can gain access to Meadowdale Beach Park for a great short hike through the trees and visit the beach (currently closed until fall 2022 though).

We love this park, but it appears to have fallen on hard times recently. It seems the city is not maintaining the same standard as before, or perhaps has lapsed in its previous attention to parks. The grass was dead, the slide was still not mended and there was lots of debris from wayward youth.

Such nice and lovely place good for a small meeting and a cup of coffee it’s nice view to the Ocean
