I love this place. The Silo City Reading Series by Noah Falck with Just Buffalo is always one of the best parts about living in this area. If you've never been, I suggest you try it.

Silo City is a very cool post industrial landscape. It is begging for guided tours of even the outside of some of the silos, especially ones on the water, as well as thoughtful redevelopment.

We just viewed the outside and was impressed. Tickets y the event were sold out.

Such a fantastic architectural and industrial feast for the eyes. Certainly off the touristed track, and certainly we’ll off the ‘typical tourist attraction’ list, it’s a remarkable area that really gives pause to just how important Buffalo was to the expansion of the US - and the intersection of steel and grain and shipping thereof out of the heartland and across the world. Though much of the site is off limits for safety reasons there’s still enough to keep you camera happy for a while in the area plus of course Duende’s bar and gallery which is 100% NOT to be missed. Drinking in the backyard and staring up at these huge silos against a blue sky backdrop is a surreal experience. Note as well the Outer harbour area adjoining is full of nature trails, reclaimed wetlands and headlands, and buzzes with events throughout the summer - abandon the thought of “typical tourist experience” and immerse yourself in something truly unique and unique to Buffalo

I don't think anybody launches from Silo City exactly they probably launch closer to the riverworks end of the island. Or near the General Mills area. Hi hope this helps.
I am sorry I didn't notice when I rode by this year...
Great! Thank you everyone.
From the river or from canalside depending on which way youre coming from
No, due to liability and dangerous areas you must have a guide. Explore Buffalo is your best bet. There is a caretaker on the property of Silo City. He and his Pit Bull try to keep Silo City clear of people not on tours.
Nicole, there is a bar at Silo City that just opened called Duende. We are open for all of the world cup games and have regular hours Thursday through Sunday. Brad, we are currently not allowing dogs as there have been some issues on the site the past few weeks. Thanks for asking and we hope to see you soon.
One of the few things u can do is...ask ur nephew he might know...or get the paper The Public for the wk or wk before his performance to see if it is in there or call dw there to see what time they start performance...i havent had the chance as of yet to watch one dw there...so thats the best advice i can give u...gl
