Every Saturday morning, there is a church service. And afterwards, the Chap store opens, and gives out food. Very early morning!
You just stop in during open hours. Call ahead to check. They have 1/2 hour difference for open and close for food. I know someone who is from Apple Valley that got help once.
There is also an emergency based food shelf for Dakota county residents. Just bring something that shows you live in Dakota county (drivers lic.or piece of mail) and someone will help you out
