Some here posted that u put mayo on a regular & others say vinegar, but I have a bet with my DH that neither is & it’s just olive oil - who’s right?

It's just Olive oil

The original Italian hoagie had olive oil and still does. (no mayo or vinegar) Yes just olive oil. But I get vinegar on mine

No mayo on a proper italian cold cut.....(and I love mayo- but not on a sub)

It's usually olive oil but my preference is Mayo

Oil ,oregano, some people put mayo

Request either mayo or oil & vinegar. Usual is mayo
