Yes they have been using the same bread. It is a one of the best subs around. T he bread comes from Formica bakery across the street from the sub shop. Stop in there and grab so bread or their delicious pastries.

Yes, it is known as "Atlantic City bread", and the White House (est. 1946) has been using it since it opened. There are only 2 remaining bakeries in the city known for making this exact type of bread: Rando Bakery (est. 1909) and Formica Bakery (est. 1919). Since these bakeries are walking distance to the sub shop, one can often see a person walking down the street delivering the rolls to the shop in a supermarket-style shopping cart with the rolls in brown paper bags.
